I purchased a portable induction cooktop and now use it nearly 100% of the time. The cost was $120 though there are others available for less (and for more). One of my pans (cast iron) works perfectly and I purchased 2 other pans/pots that a magnet stuck to the bottom. Cooking on induction tops is remarkably fast, temperatures are far easier to control than gas, and I love using LESS GAS! Can't wait to get rid of my gas dryer.

We installed a Carrier Infinity series heat pump about 4 years ago. It works seamlessly with our natural gas heat, and the air conditioning in summer is super efficient and very comfortable. We had the best tomatoes this year, so much better than those in the store.  It was definitely worth the effort!
